Pumping System and Associated Outfall Drain System of “Terreiro do Paço”

Description

This project was executed on the bank of the River Tagus, more specifically in Cais do Sodré.
The project originally planned for peripheral retaining wall and deep foundations consisted of piles interspersed with Jet-grouting columns of 1300mm diameter. As an alternative solution, it was proposed the execution of the retaining wall and foundations for building the internal structure of the pumping station through the soil treatment using the CSM technique.
